PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

I started my career as a Graphic UI Designer, excelling from the start and receiving accolades like “Best Creative Design of the Year” for three consecutive years. My work has taken me across the globe, from India to Malaysia, Singapore, and the USA. Now, I’m proud to call New Zealand home, where I’ve settled with my family.

Over the years, I’ve earned a reputation as a reliable leader, even gaining the office nickname “Troy” for my tenacity in meeting deadlines and tackling challenges head-on. My career has been filled with transformative projects that drove substantial growth, including pioneering efforts to convert traditional magazine subscriptions into interactive online product guides.

I bring an in-depth understanding of business growth, with experience leading high-impact projects across FinTech, PropTech, B2B, and property sectors. As Global Head of Marketing, I successfully launched a PropTech platform with international data providers like CoreLogic (AU, USA, NZ) and RElyse UK. My experience also includes go-to-market strategies for large property developments, steering them from strategy through execution to achieve financial targets. Over the past eight years, I’ve specialised in New Zealand’s property development and finance sectors.

My expertise centres on analysing customer journeys, developing media-to-conversion strategies, and implementing best practices in marketing and communications. Driven by a passion for growth, I constantly seek data insights to refine strategic positioning and deliver results.

With over a decade in multi-channel marketing and strategy development, I’ve guided businesses in competitive markets, crafting innovative strategies, introducing automation solutions, and driving growth even in ambiguous environments.

Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated with industry leaders like Nigel McKenna, a renowned New Zealand property developer; Greg Lindberg, a successful US entrepreneur; and Sandeep Dua, a successful entrepreneur and highly regarded M&A expert.

EDUCATION AND PERSONAL INTERESTS

My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Business Administration (International Business), a Bachelor’s in English Honours, postgraduate diplomas in Multimedia and Digital Marketing, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

In my spare time, I indulge in my love for books, with a home library of over 500 titles, and my passion for cars and racing.

EARLY LIFE

I was born in Srinagar into the Pirzada family, a family with a long-standing tradition of providing education and community support in this beautiful city, which is celebrated for its breathtaking natural landscapes.

My ancestors were respected for their dedication to educating children across our neighbourhood. In the mid-1900s, my family personally funded and oversaw the installation of water piping in Malik Agan, Fateh Kadal, bringing clean water to every household. This initiative meant that women no longer had to fetch water from the rivers.

At the young age of four, my family moved to Delhi, and later to Madras (now Chennai), as my father expanded his business ventures across India. I completed my schooling at Sree Venkateswara Matriculation Higher Secondary School, one of the state’s most respected institutions known for its discipline. During these years, I excelled in cricket, earning the nickname “Gun Shooter” from my teammates for my speed and bowling style.

Though literature captivated me from a young age, I initially pursued BioMaths in high school and was later admitted to study mechanical engineering. However, after a few months, I realised that my true passion lay elsewhere, inspiring me to explore these creative fields further.
